Sept. Issue of Raging Chicken Press Coming Soon!

Don’t despair Raging Chicken Press fans, the September issue will be out soon!  I had hoped to have this month’s issue out by tomorrow (that may still happen), but the weekend is probably a better bet.  Why the delay you ask?  Well, the very simple answer lies in a nine pound, twelve ounce little girl.   That’s right, my wife and I just welcomed our little girl, Scout, into the world.   Any of you who have kids know that the arrival of a baby is almost always accompanied by the departure of sleep and any “free” time.  So it goes.

Now that the academic year has begun and I’m sitting at my desk on a much more regular basis again, I’ll be able to finish up the editing and get the issue together.  I think you’ll be happy with it too.  The September issue will include contributions on:

  • The destruction of the Early Learning Center @ Kutztown University (Part 1)
  • US Uncut actions against Bank of America
  • Upcoming occupation of Wall Street on Sept 17th
  • More legislative attacks on workers coming to PA Legislature this session
  • and so much more
Yeah, so it will definitely be an issue you want to check out.  If you don’t know what to do with yourself until the September issue is published, consider using some of that pent-up energy by becoming a contributor to our October “Back to School” issue!

If you are interested in submitting your work, you can do so by sending an email to ragingchickenpress@gmail.com.  Please take a few minutes to review our Submission Guidelines in order to familiarize yourself with the kind of work we publish and the purpose of our publication.

Deadline for the October issue is 9/28/2011.

As always, the earlier you get us your submission the better. We look forward to hearing from you!
