Below is the contact information for all of the House Democrats who voted for the 20 week abortion ban in the 2015-2016 legislative session. There is nothing that is “pro-life” about 20 week abortion bans. Nearly 99 percent of all abortions occur before the 21st week of pregnancy, and are used when something catastrophically happens to the pregnancy, where the fetus will die before or after birth or live a short painful life. These bills are designed to traumatize women and force them to carry out a pregnancy that ends in a miscarriage or the death of the fetus.
Earlier this week, House Speaker Mike Turzai praised Senate Bill 3 and House Bill 77 for their bipartisan support. It is time to hold the 20 Democrats who voted for the 20 week abortion ban in the previous session accountable and it is time to force House Democratic leaders Frank Dermody, Joe Markosek and Michael Hanna to do their jobs and lead. We encourage everyone to call their Representatives and call House Democratic Leaders to force a unity vote against these bills. If not, well, 2018 is right around the corner.
