Kevin Mahoney Editor Zero and founder of the Raging Chicken Press lays out the recent plot by University President to raise tuition while not raising tuition. Both ways the students and their families lose. Also, it’s National Adjunct Action Week! Today, Temple University Adjuncts took it to the streets to demand the university quit union-busting and let 1,300 adjuncts vote for a union. It was a powerful kick off to a week that will see adjuncts nationwide taking it to the streets on Wednesday for the National Adjunct Walkout Day.
*CORRECTION: In this interview, Kevin Mahoney says that two PASSHE universities – Clarion and IUP – have already gone to the pay-per-credit tuition mode. In fact, the two universities are Clarion and Millersville. IUP will join Bloomsburg as the next two universities to move to the pay-per-credit model in the 2015-2016 academic year.
