The Rick Smith Files | Rhonda Brownstein of the Education Law Center of PA

This past Tuesday, Rick Smith talked with Rhonda Brownstein, Executive Director of the Education Law Center of PA, to get a reality check on Gov. Tom Corbett’s proposed 2014-15 budget as it relates to funding  public education in PA. While Corbett’s budget provides some additional funds for Special Education and Early Childhood Education, you won’t be shocked when I tell you that Corbett is continuing to starve public education in the Commonwealth.

If you like what you hear and are in the Philadelphia area this Monday, February 24th, you can catch Rhonda Brownstein at an Education Policy Forum being held at the Penn Center for Educational Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania from 10am – noon. The forum is part of a series of forums sponsored by the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center and the Education Policy and Leadership Center on Corbett’s proposed Education Budget. For full details on Monday’s forum and the locations of future forums, check out Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center’s events page: RIGHT HERE.
