#PABudget: RTK Requests Reports that Nothing Happened to Scott Wagner’s Signs

Earlier this summer, the Raging Chicken Press filed a delivered Right to Know requests to the Department of General Services & the Pennsylvania Senate regarding Senator Scott Wagner’s sign vandalism and the videos that his office took.  If the Senator’s signs and name-plate were defaced or vandalized, a report should have been filed with the Department of General Services.  Our RTK request with the Department of General Services states that capitol police have “not received any complaints from Senator Wagner or Jason High.”

Requests for the video that Wagner supposedly recorded were shot down from the Office of the Senate Clerk because those videos were not part of the legislative record.

There are a couple of things to take away from this.  One, the vandalism that High and Wagner talked about most likely did not occur, and two, if State Senators wanted to go on voyeuristic ventures within the capitol confines, they are able to do so because our state’s sunshine laws will enable them to do so.
