In last week’s special election to fill Congressman Brendan Boyle’s vacated house seat, Martina White, the Republican Candidate, beat Sarah Del Ricci, who was Mike Stack’s democratic pick for the seat. The campaign could have been considered a blood bath within the Philadelphia Democratic Party, and reached a fever pitch when Congressman Brendan Boyle’s former Chief of Staff, Seth Kaplan, threaten to run as an independent after the nomination was given to Sarah Del Ricci.
Throughout the campaign, Martina White picked up dozens of important labor endorsements, and in a press release issued on April 1, she stated that she will caucus with the Democratic Party over the next two years, and will then run as a Democrat. This move will help the struggling House Democratic Campaign Committee save money that would have been needed in other key primary primaries and local elections.
Thank You, fools.
So, she’s changing her registration? How do the Republicans in Northeast Philly feel being used? Also, what is going on inside the Democratic Party in Philly?
Wait!! Is this your idea of an April Fool’s joke?
It is. I have a dry sense of humor…
