Pennsylvania Senate Budget: Corrections a Budget Winner, Higher Education a Budget Loser

Corrections buget

With the deadline for the Pennsylvania budget approaching, Senate Appropriations Chair Jake Corman posted a PDF of the 2013-2014 Senate budget proposal.  Closely looking at the budget proposal, it looks as if the Corrections Department will be a budget winner, seeing a $75 million increase.  But looking at the proposed State System of Higher Education, it looks like the Pennsylvania Senate will continue walking public higher education off the cliff, continuing the 20% budget cuts from 3 years ago.
