Authors Note: In the tweet, I stated “St. Louis Attacks.” What I meant to say was “St. Louis Demonstrations.” I had Charlottesville going through my mind when I popped off the tweet.
Pennsylvania House Republican and self-described Christain Aaron Bernstine promised to run over protesters blocking traffic in the wake of the demonstrations taking place in St. Louis. In the late night tweet, Bernstein stated “If anyone EVER tries to stop my car on a highway with negative intentions… I will not stop under any conditions.”
Demonstrators hit the St. Louis streets after Jason Stockley, an ex-police officer, was found not guilty of first-degree murder. Stockley shot Lamar Smith, a 24 year old black man, 5 times during a high-speed chase. Over 32 protesters were arrested for blocking traffic, throwing rocks through the windows of the mayor’s house and throwing bricks at police officers.
Berstein’s tweet comes a month after a white nationalist committed a terrorist attack in Charlottesville. The neo-fascist plowed his car into a crowd of counter-protesters that left 19 injured and Heather Heyer dead. Last week, a driver of a pickup truck was detained by police in Vancouver, Washington after driving his car through a crowd of counter-protesters. Luckily no one was hurt at the time.

Difference between me and these snowflakes is that I won’t be assaulted in name of “free speech” https://t.co/vKQCOz8h74

Aaron Bernstine is a member of the PA assembly. Rep. Bernstine’s office numbers are: (724)7522120, and (717)7838322. That’d be murder, sir. https://t.co/hnDY0eCGjo
