Newtown, Bucks County, PA... Members of the county gather to hold a vigil for peace in the wake of the violence in Charlottesville, VA
Tonight I went to the peace vigil held in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, held in solidarity with those standing up to the Nazis in Charlottesville, Virgina on the University of Virginia campus.
More than 100 people attended the vigil organized by The Peace Center. The vigil started at the corner of South State Street and East Centre Avenue where organizers spoke and musicians played peace ballads. Attendees then proceeded to the Newtown Friends Meeting on Court Street, where local musician and writer Lisabeth Weber continued to play the guitar and sing. Local clergy and activists also spot into the evening to a packed building.
