Raging Chicken Press launched almost five years ago, we’ve gone from a little media site with a funny name, to a fixture in Pennsylvania’s emerging progressive media culture. We’ve come a long way and now we’ve got our sites on bringing in new writers, podcasters, and media activists. Raging Chicken Press is both a platform for progressive and left media activists and a space where would-be media activists can cut their teeth in citizen journalism.
This July will mark our five-year anniversary. Our goal for the next five years is to add new contributors who are interested in covering what’s happening in PA and around the region from the perspective of activists, advocates, and everyday people. We think the 2016 presidential election is a perfect time to expand and we would love to work with you to bring your voice to the pages of Raging Chicken Press.
So, have you been thinking about starting a blog or writing an article about the 2016 election? Are you a student activist organizing on your campus? Do you have something to say about the attack on women’s health and rights by the right-wing? Disgusted by the blatant racism in the 2016 presidential campaign? Are you done with tightening your belt and keeping your head down, waiting for the next round of right-wing attacks? Are you mad as hell and not going to take it anymore? Well, you’ve come to the right place. We will work with you, help you learn the craft of citizen journalism, and expand the reach of your voice to about 15,000 readers each month.
