Fast food workers are walking off the job today as part of a nationwide day of action to demand a raise in the minimum wage to $15/hour and a union. Workers in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Minneapolis, Chicago…the list goes on and on…have pledged to turn up the heat in their fight for a living wage and the right to form a union with out harassment and retaliation. As of this post, workers in at least two cities – New York and Detroit – have been arrested for civil disobedience.
Protests will continue throughout the day.
