The strategy and tactics by organizers in Pennsylvania on this issue have been the same for the past 5 years and it hasn’t gotten anywhere. I’m sorry, but if organizers and green groups aren’t going to endorse or allow more radical actions at demonstrations and so forth, then I refuse to take part. I don’t know how much more petition gathering groups like Penn Environment, Sierra Club and others are going to pursue. That doesn’t work and petition gathering doesn’t do shit unless you are allowed to have ballot initiatives, which PA doesn’t have because we’re a Commonwealth. If people want a moratorium, then it’s time to go a different route because the one that the green groups are on will take 6 to 8 years of election victories to make it happen.
The other alternative is to advocate for something that will take out the fossil fuel industry which is renewables.
